An exhibition about life during and after breast cancer
Dear friends and supporters,
please help with fundraising for my exhibition “Kopfüberleben" (Upsidedownlife). The 2021 budget for the ACC Galerie, a non-profit organisation, has been cut due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to realise the solo exhibition in the 20 rooms of the gallery, an online presentation and a book publication a total of €9000,- need to be raised. To date, €5200,- have been donated and I am hoping you can contribute helping me raise the outstanding €3800. Every donation helps and even small amounts make a huge difference.
What exactly would the donations finance?
The expenses are for the material costs of the art works, in different media including large format photographic prints and costs for framing photographies and drawings. The ACC gallery in Weimar has 20 rooms with a floor space of 400m².
Online 3D technology
A virtual tour of the exhibition with 3D camera technology gives people remote access to the exhibition, especially women who are undergoing breast cancer treatment and are currently still in therapy.
As part of the art exhibition I plan to make available a book that compliments the themes and ideas of the artworks. This publication will be part exhibition catalogue and part research journal to address the relationship between the body and mind, illness and healing. Through a series of image works and commissioned texts the content of the exhibition will be extended to become available to a wider audience unable to visit the exhibition. Through the book I would like to support other women facing a similar life crisis and use the publication in future workshops to support them through their recovery.
All supporters will be named and thanked in the exhibition and planned publication.

It is heartwarming what we can do together. To date, 5,200 Euros have been donated. I am delighted and touched by your support.
I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude to Rita Mergener from the Cape Foundation, who supported me with psycho-oncological care throughout my recovery and also helped with the realisation of this exhibition.
A heartfelt thank you to so many of you who are supporting this campaign, even the smallest amounts help to make this project happen.
You are wonderful, thank you very much!
